He could tell that she would be the type that would always keep her looks. She was young, eighteen, a small girl with silky blond hair and a perfect figure. It was at one of the parties that he found what he had been looking for. He took this time to party with the rich of New Orleans. He made a trip to New Orleans at least once a month to see what was for sale at the slave auctions. Seeing a pregnant woman at work meant it wouldn't be long before he would have another one to sale. He liked them young and at eighteen they were at the perfect childbearing age. He had a keen eye when it came to picking the most productive women from among the slaves. He also had all the black pussy he wanted. Why some husband hadn't already killed him was a miracle. He was a handsome man that had his share of other men's wives. Sam was forty-five years old and never been married.
BLACK BREEDING FARM PLUS
Plus other owners often brought their female slaves to be bred to him. It might seem like a nice life for a black slave to be the plantation stud, but he soon burned out trying to breed more than a hundred women each year. He seldom kept a stud more than a year before he changed to a younger one that could last longer. Once they had a child he could sell both the mother and child for a premium. He purchased all young black women and he kept a black stud to breed them with. He had come up with a way to turn over his money quicker than just buying and selling. At the same time it was Sam they went too when they needed slaves. Most of the plantation owners looked down their noses at him and the way he made his money. He made his money buying and selling slaves. While the other planters worried about the crops and keeping good slaves happy he only had enough planted to feed his own people. His home was larger and nicer than most but he only had a few hundred acres of land. His plantation wasn't nearly as large as others scattered up the banks of the Mississippi River. Visit our rare breeds page for a closer look at the breeds we have.Sam Adams was one of the riches men in the South during the eighteen forties. Our rare breed sheep and goat breeds also produce offspring each year. Each breed is carefully selected for their suitability at Croxteth, many piglets reared join existing breeding programmes. Our Pig breeds (Middle White, Saddleback, Oxford Sandy and Black and Gloucester Old Spot pigs) produce multiple litters of piglets per year. We work closely with the RBST to select the correct bulls to use on our cows in order to create a genetically diverse calf. Our other rare breed cattle produce calves via artificial insemination due to the rarity of each breed, it is impossible to keep a breeding bull for each cow. All of our breeding females have been born at Croxteth and are one of the most genetically important herds of Irish Moiled. Since then, over 200 calves have been born with many being sent off to new breeding groups throughout the UK. The herd at Croxteth was developed in 1984 and was the first Irish Moiled herd on mainland Britain. Our current breeding groups include our herd of Irish Moiled cattle.

Many of our animals are included within the RBST breeding programme and each year we welcome many new births.
